The Same BSM has been through three versions of this, two resin and the most recent and never have any issues. Repair shop replaced the corner and installed a whole new panel $4500 later. I had a lady tap my rear corner and it just pushed it into the side panel and broke a weld. But the bumper corner is okay to climb on, but still essentially useless. I have not heard of any electronic interference. Thus the open metal frame with a BSM window covered by the plastic bumper cover. They point outward and to the side, and as far as I know, the only issue is with metallic material interfering with the radar on the outward face. and I heard they would break if you loaded the corner. I had that recall done and it was to replace the POS original resin mounting bracket.
